Despite being officially launched, CABRI is yet to become an international organisation. The six founding members of CABRI - Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal and South Africa, have all ratified the International Agreement establishing CABRI as a legal body but they have not all deposited their insturment of ratification to the CABRI Secretariat. Once the sixth instrument of ratification has been deposited, the International Agreement will enter into force and CABRI will be established as an international, independent and legal organisation.
