The 2008 Report on Budget Practices and Procedures in Africa analyses the results of the CABRI/OECD survey on budget practices and procedures in 26 African countries. The report is jointly produced by CABRI and the African Development Bank (AfDB) and was launched on 7 April, 2009 at the 5th Annual CABRI Seminar.

The report aims to:

  • Provide an overview of the key features of African budget institutions and practices;
  • Compare and contrast national budgeting practices and procedures with recognised international best practices; and
  • Underline common practices and trends that are important for budget practitioners and policy-makers.
