Ashveena Gajeelee is a public policy specialist and heads CABRI’s programs and technical team. She has over 15 years’ experience in the public sector having served in several ministries and institutions in her home country of Mauritius, including the Prime Minister's Office, Agriculture and Environment as well as the Financial Services Commission. Prior to joining CABRI, she was an advisor to the Minister of Finance and later, coordinator of the Global Access in Action (GAIA) a project at Harvard dealing with global health and improving access to lifesaving medicines in vulnerable population through the implementation of legal, policy, and regulatory reform. Ashveena is a graduate of l’Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA-France), Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Graduate Institute of Geneva. She is currently an Affiliate of Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and of the Ariadne Labs. Her affiliations at Harvard feed into her research interest in global health systems and health policy.
