ATAF and CABRI have received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Regional Institutional Support Project on Public Financial Governance (RISPFG), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount of this grant to payments under the contract for the contracting of a Procurement Specialist on a consultancy basis.
The services included under this project are to assist ATAF and CABRI with the following:
- manage and carry out the procurement activities required for the procurement of services for both ATAF and CABRI in accordance with the organisations’ documents such as the Financing Agreement, the African Development Bank Procurement Rules & procedures, among other; and
- strengthen the procurement capacity of the Procurement and Finance Units. This will ensure adequate capacity development and transfer to the organisations. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will support and guide the end-users to prepare good quality ToRs and technical specifications.
The Procurement Specialist will be required to be familiar with the African Development Bank Procurement Rules & Procedures and the Government of South Africa’s procurement laws, procedures, regulations, policies, the organisations covenant documents. These services will be for a period of 12 (twelve) months beginning September 2018. Subject to the individuals’ satisfactory performance, the contract would be extended only for at most another 6 (six) months’ period.
