On 21 September, as part of our commitment to expanding our network of public financial management (PFM) practitioners, Dr Kay Brown, Executive Secretary of CABRI visited H.E. Nangula Frieda Ithete, High Commissioner of Namibia in South Africa. The objective was to present CABRI’s unique approach to budget reform; moving beyond theory to focus on functional, country-led solutions. 

The High Commissioner who was accompanied by Aino Humphrey, Counsellor at the High Commission, expressed great interest in CABRI’s peer-learning model and our work with senior officials across the continent. 

With high enthusiasm on both sides regarding Namibia’s potential membership, we are excited about the next steps in this partnership to enhance transparency and accountability.
