We had the immense honor of welcoming Rodrigue Chaou to the 16th CABRI General Assembly meeting in South Africa last week. Mr Chaou, whose leadership and expertise are well-established, took the time to personally sign a copy of his book, *Repenser le Budget de l’État* (Rethinking the State Budget), for the CABRI Secretariat, in the presence of Mr. Benjamin Mberio, the Central African Republic’s representative on the CABRI Management Committee for the 2025–2027 term. 

It is worth noting that the trio—Mr. Chaou, Mr. Mberio, and Dr. Kay Brown (CABRI’s Executive Secretary) had recently met in Benin during a courtesy visit.

We take this opportunity to once again extend our warmest congratulations to Mr Chaou on his recent appointment as Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the Budget and the Civil Service in Benin. His career path, from the Directorate General of the Budget to this ministerial rank, is a testament to his exceptional dedication to fiscal excellence in Africa.
