Rwanda Aid on Budget Working Session

The first CABRI Aid on Budget working session was jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning of Rwanda (MINECOFIN) and CABRI. The workshop was the culmination of a three-month long research and analytical process of the interface between aid and the budget in Rwanda. The focus chosen for the Rwanda work concerned the ex ante phases of the budget cycle, and programme and project aid.
Meeting of the Joint Venture on PFM - Key messages for the High Level Forum

CABRI and the South African Treasury hosted the Joint Venture on Public Financial Management’s consultative meeting on public financial management. Participants included members of the OECD-DAC Joint Venture on PFM, fourteen partner countries represented by officials from Ministries of Finance and Supreme Audit Institutions.

The official launch of the Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI) took the form of a high level ministerial breakfast meeting as a side event of the 2008 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank. The meeting was chaired by South Africa's Minister of Finance, Trevor Manuel, and was attended by ministers of finance and planning from a number of African countries.
