The legislature has a constitutional role in the various stages of Public Finance Management (PFM). The workshop is designed for new National Assembly (NASS) members of the Federation of Nigeria, on their role in the budget process. Held in collaboration with the National Assembly and the Budget Office of the Federation of Nigeria, the workshop aims to provide the participants with the necessary tools to assess value for money in public spending, with a focus on priority sectors such as agriculture, health, revenue management in the extractives and infrastructure. The program is designed to equip the new legislatures with the knowledge and tools to effectively strengthen the budget process and increase democratic accountability.
