Development assistance is not focusing enough on public financial management reform
A ajuda ao desenvolvimento não dá suficiente importância à gestão das finanças públicas
19 abril 2013
CABRI's executive secretary, Neil Cole, participated in a radio discussion on "US Development Assistance: A View from Africa", on the Kojo Nnamadi Show in Washington DC, where he underlined the importance of strengthening public financial management systems on the continent to achieve sustainable development.
CABRI operates as a peer-learning organisation in the field of public financial management, with the aim of achieving better public financial governance in Africa.
Other participants on the show were Paul O'Brien (vice president for Policy and Campaigns of Oxfam America) and Martha Kwataine (executive director of the Malawi Health Equity Network).
